The Sandbox Studio team is a collaboration of talent, energy and experience comprising of Architects, Interior Designers, Laboratory & Medical Planners, Project Managers, Engineers and subject matter specialists.

SANDBOX STUDIO is a specialist boutique design practice that offers specialized design and styling to a regional client base. The team works with government agencies, hospitals, laboratories, medical centres, architectural and engineering firms, research facilities as well as private companies throughout Asia. SANDBOX provides a wide range solution in design and space planning, optimization of medical and laboratory workflow, guidance on safety and regulatory standards as well as setting up of cost effective and sustainable medical, commercial and laboratory complexes. SANDBOX STUDIO also undertakes modular pre-fabricated systems constructions, bespoke commercial projects and work spaces fit-outs.

Interior Design

SANDBOX STUDIO is a full-service interior design studio serving commercial and corporate clients throughout Asia. Principal designer, Dennis Tan, is known for his modern avantgarde style combined with engineering practicality. Together with a team of Interior Designers and Project Managers, SANDBOX STUDIO is a collaboration of talent, energy and creativity. Our certified interior designers offer a complete range of services and offerings, including corporate and workspace designs, repurposing and renovation support, DFMA designs, co-work space design, and interior design consultations. As a full-service interior design studio with proven experience and track record, we can manage all aspects of the project. Each project is a distinct reflection to our clients’ needs.

Laboratory Planning

The laboratory research world permanently moves forward; there is no stagnancy because it is inherent within research to achieve new horizons. Hence, buildings and their technical engineering services, laboratory equipment and fitted-out units are subjects of continuous change. SANDBOX STUDIO understands exactly just that. Our dedicated team of laboratory planners and designers never lose sight of their mission: designing labs that address functional workflows, prioritise safety, and enable optimum space performance for continuous cost efficiency. We have completed projects ranging from teaching labs to animal research and bio-containment labs, including facilities that support research in genomics, bioengineering, translational medicine and material science. Our team has a profound understanding of key technical requirements for laboratory facilities especially with regard to MEP solution. It is our endless endeavour to strive for good sustainability in lab design.

Medical Planning

The SANDBOX STUDIO team of medical planners have worked on a wide variety of healthcare facilities, ranging from medical centres, aesthetic clinics, ambulatory surgical centres, hospitals, diagnostic labs to care homes. Our collaborative approach streamlines the design, capacity planning and workflow management in wholistic hospital designs as well as specialising in areas such as OT, ICU, CSSD/TSSU, clinical laboratory and wards. Integrated with SANDBOX STUDIO, a team of medical equipment planners have helped healthcare facility owners and the design team to plan, procure and manage the installation of medical equipment. Each project is designed with a single goal in mind- creating better care experiences for patients and care providers. Patient care is always at the heart of what we do.
